Atlas Copco has introduced its new XB range of cordless assembly tools, designed to enhance precision, flexibility, and efficiency in modern manufacturing environments.
The newly launched XB series consists of two all-electric nut runner models, the XCB and XTB each tailored for different assembly needs. The XCB is a mechanical clutch tool suited for standard applications, while the XTB is a torque transducer tool built for quality-critical operations requiring high accuracy and traceability.
Engineered for ease of use, the tools are ready for immediate deployment. Operators can simply insert the battery, configure torque settings via the onboard interface, and begin operations without complex setup. A built-in Human Machine Interface (HMI) provides real-time OK/NOK feedback, ensuring consistent tightening accuracy across production lines.
The XB range combines speed with precision, supporting manufacturers transitioning toward smart integrated assembly systems. The XCB model features re-hit detection and minimal reaction force, making it ideal for repetitive tasks, while the XTB supports multiple tightening programs, torque control, and angle monitoring for more complex assembly requirements.
Designed with a cordless and ergonomic form factor, the tools allow operators to move freely across workstations and access tight spaces without the limitations of wired equipment. Their lightweight and balanced design also helps reduce operator fatigue and improve productivity during extended use.
By integrating precision engineering with digital capabilities, the XB series aligns with the growing demand for connected, data-driven manufacturing systems, enabling industries to enhance product quality, streamline operations, and accelerate their shift toward sustainable and intelligent production environments.
