Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. has strengthened its domestic order book by securing two infrastructure projects worth nearly ₹900 crore during July, reinforcing its presence in India’s urban infrastructure and transportation sectors. The projects span the company’s Urban Infrastructure & Metro and Surface Transport business verticals and are expected to further enhance its execution pipeline.

One of the contracts involves civil infrastructure and tunnelling works using Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) technology for a metro project under Afcons’ Urban Infrastructure & Metro business. The second project relates to the construction of road infrastructure, expanding the company’s portfolio in the highways segment. Together, the two orders are valued at close to ₹900 crore.

The latest wins add to Afcons’ growing portfolio of complex engineering and EPC projects in India. A flagship infrastructure company of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, Afcons has executed projects across transportation, marine, tunnels, bridges, metros and industrial infrastructure in India and overseas. According to the latest Engineering News-Record (ENR) rankings, the company is among the Top 140 international contractors globally, while also featuring among the leading global contractors in the bridges and marine & ports segments.

The new project wins are expected to support Afcons’ order book and strengthen its position in the country’s infrastructure sector, where investment in metro rail systems and highway development continues to gather pace.
