Afcons Infrastructure Secures ₹3,469 Crore EPC Orders for Jewar Expressway and Lucknow Metro

Afcons Infrastructure Limited has secured two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts worth a combined ₹3,469 crore in Uttar Pradesh, covering the development of the Jewar Link Expressway and an underground section of Lucknow Metro Phase-1B. The latest order wins take the company’s fresh order inflow during FY2026-27 to ₹19,438 crore.

The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has awarded Afcons a contract worth approximately ₹2,086 crore, excluding GST, for constructing a 24.5-km access-controlled greenfield expressway connecting Noida International Airport at Jewar with the state’s major expressway network. The six-lane corridor will have provision for expansion to eight lanes.

The proposed Jewar Link Expressway is expected to provide a direct and faster road connection to the airport while linking two major transportation corridors, the Yamuna Expressway and the Ganga Expressway. The connectivity is expected to improve passenger movement and freight transportation across western and central Uttar Pradesh, while supporting logistics and economic activity around the airport region.

The second contract, valued at approximately ₹1,383 crore, has been awarded by Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) for the design and construction of a 6.52-km underground stretch under Lucknow Metro Phase-1B. The scope includes seven underground metro stations, along with associated civil and architectural works, utility systems, fire safety infrastructure and connectivity between underground and elevated sections.

The two projects add to Afcons’ transportation infrastructure portfolio, spanning highway development and urban rail construction. The Lucknow Metro assignment involves specialised underground construction, while the Jewar project will require the development of a new high-capacity road corridor to strengthen airport connectivity.

Following these awards, Afcons’ fresh order wins for FY2026-27 have reached ₹19,438 crore, reflecting continued business activity across major infrastructure segments. The latest contracts further strengthen the company’s project pipeline in India’s roads and urban transportation sectors.
