Adani Infra (India) Ltd., a promoter group entity of Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL), has increased its holding in the renewable energy company by acquiring a 1.03% stake through a block deal valued at approximately ₹2,380 crore. The transaction involved the purchase of 1.7 crore equity shares at an average price of ₹1,400 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The shares were acquired from Ardour Investment Holding Ltd., another promoter group entity, which sold an equivalent 1.03% stake in AGEL through the same transaction. Following the deal, Adani Infra’s shareholding increased to 2.34% from 1.31%, while Ardour Investment Holding’s stake declined to 4.01% from 5.04%.
The transaction represents an internal realignment of promoter shareholding and does not alter the overall promoter ownership in Adani Green Energy. Such transfers are commonly undertaken as part of capital structuring and shareholding optimisation within promoter groups.
Following the block deal, Adani Green Energy’s shares gained nearly 1.5% during trading on the NSE, reflecting positive investor sentiment. The company continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio and remains one of India’s leading clean energy developers, with an ambitious pipeline of utility-scale solar, wind and hybrid power projects.
