Jabil Inc. and Adani Enterprises Ltd have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a proposed 50:50 joint venture for manufacturing and assembling artificial intelligence (AI) and data centre equipment in India.

The proposed venture will manufacture AI racks, servers, storage and networking equipment used in data centres. Its product portfolio will also include equipment required to power and cool AI infrastructure, such as power distribution units, liquid-cooling systems and transformers.

The companies expect the venture to have multi-gigawatt AI rack manufacturing capacity. It will also offer installation and commissioning services, catering to the requirements of data centre operators and other customers deploying high-performance computing infrastructure.

The agreement formalises the companies’ plans announced in June 2026 to explore a strategic partnership for developing an AI and data centre infrastructure manufacturing platform in India. The proposed joint venture remains subject to definitive agreements, applicable approvals and customary conditions.

India’s data centre capacity is projected to reach 5–8 GW by 2030, supported by growing AI adoption, cloud computing requirements and data localisation needs. The proposed manufacturing facility is intended to serve the domestic market while creating opportunities to supply equipment to international customers.

For Jabil, a global engineering, supply chain and manufacturing company known for supplying components to Apple, the partnership expands its presence in the AI infrastructure segment. The company expects revenue of $44.5 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $17.55 in fiscal 2027.

The collaboration also brings together Jabil’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities with Adani Enterprises’ infrastructure, energy and data centre operations, positioning the proposed venture to address rising demand for AI computing hardware.
