A B Infrabuild wins ₹54.26 crore East Coast Railway contract to construct a Road Over Bridge on the Howrah–Visakhapatnam main line, enhancing safety and connectivity.

A B Infrabuild has been awarded a ₹54.26 crore contract by East Coast Railway for the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB), following the receipt of a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the project.

The ROB will be constructed at railway kilometre 657/2931, replacing Level Crossing No. 354 located between Baruva (BAV) and Mandasa Road (MMS) railway stations on the Howrah–Visakhapatnam main line under the Khurda Road Division.

According to the project scope, the bridge structure will comprise a combination of composite and T-beam girders, including one 36-metre composite girder span, two 24-metre composite girder spans, and four 18.75-metre T-beam girder spans. The configuration is designed to ensure safe and uninterrupted rail and road traffic movement while improving operational efficiency along this busy rail corridor.

The project forms part of East Coast Railway’s ongoing efforts to eliminate level crossings and enhance safety, reduce congestion, and improve connectivity across key routes. Upon completion, the ROB is expected to facilitate smoother vehicular movement and improve overall transportation safety in the region.
