Redesigned cab for comfort and safety - The completely redesigned cab of Cat machines offers more space, visibility, comfort, and safety. The cab is designed with ROPS function to enhance safety: the new seat and new suspension to reduce operator fatigue. The cab enhances the visibility of the surroundings through connecting glass windows, and rear and side view mirrors, ensuring a safe working environment. Ground-level engine shut-off switch stops all fuel to the engine when activated and shuts down the machine. Maintenance and refueling from the ground keep the operators from climbing onto the machine for a safer work environment. The machine is designed to ensure three points of contact when entering and exiting the machine with strategically placed walkways and grab rails.

SCOPE IN FULL DEPTH RECLAIMATION TECHNOLOGY - India has made massive progress to develop National Highways during last 7-8 years with road construction reaching up to 30Kms per day & likely to go up to 50Kms per day. However biggest challenge remains as 90% of population stays in villages where road connectivity is a big concern. For overall development of country, village roads need to be upgraded & connected with Cities/State Highways/National Highways at the shortest possible time. In order to develop Road network of such scale, country needs to go for large scale quarry mining which is not only scarce & high value methodology but importantly effects the green environment . After various research & studies, it’s now established that to overcome all the challenges, ‘Full Depth Reclamation (FDR)’ would be the technology to be adapted. This process not only save time & cost but also conserve natural resources & reduce carbon footprint. Full-depth reclamation (FDR), a common strategy on rural roadways to reduce costs for materials and hauling, was validated to be a viable long-term and cost-effective option for urban and suburban asphalt pavement rehabilitation. Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) is a cost-effective, greener alternative rehabilitation method in which the full thickness of the asphalt pavement is pulverized and blended with a predetermined portion of underlying materials (base and/or subbase) to provide an upgraded, homogeneous material. Although FDR equipment continues to evolve and will vary from contractor to contractor, the outcome remains relatively the same. Keeping the obvious challenges in mind associated with Underground Mining, the OEMs have to ensure that the products are reliable and easy in troubleshooting in case of a failure thus maintaining a reasonably good uptime. All of the above, put together, Gainwell Engineering is constantly upgrading it’s products in terms of higher efficiency, commonality and ease of maintenance. At the same time, powerful electrical drive system are being designed that can drive loads with lesser input power requirement. Well Established Control System is being introduced which offers quick reference during troubleshooting thus minimizing troubleshooting time. Power saving scheme is introduced to selectively stop drives when not required. In case of Vehicles running of Diesel motor, new engine package is being designed that is expected to offer better engine performance. Overall Design standardization is a mandatory practice followed whenever a new design is worked upon in order to achieve commonality across various products thereby increasing availability of spare parts across globe.
