Q.What are market expectations and growth trends for the mining industry in 2023?
The mining industry is one of the core sectors driving India’s economy, experiencing a recent boom and increasing privatization. This trend towards privatization is contributing to increased productivity and efficiency. Many miners are purchasing new equipment in order to meet productivity targets and improve operational efficiency. The construction sector also has a significant pipeline of infrastructure projects, which is expected to contribute to its growth by around 6% year-on-year for the next three years. Both of these sectors heavily invest in machinery and heavy equipment to meet the government’s targets for project delivery. To achieve these targets, it is essential that the equipment is productive, efficient, and reliable. In the construction and mining sectors, there is significant investment in large equipment that operates in very harsh conditions. These challenging operating conditions put both the equipment and the people who operate it to the test. At Mobil, we heavily invest in the research and development of products specifically designed for these sectors, working closely with equipment manufacturers to create products that are well-suited for the demands of this industry. We design our products to offer long drain intervals that help equipment run more efficiently, and we also offer energy-efficient products that help save fuel and improve productivity targets for organizations. From a strategic standpoint, we are making big investments in this area and working closely with our customers to provide not only highquality products but also comprehensive solutions that help them operate their machines more reliably and increase machine efficiency to improve productivity.
Q.What are the key offerings and services of your company?
As far as our product offerings are concerned, we have a long legacy of over 150 years and invest heavily in research and development. Our engineers work on various applications relevant to the industry, and we design products that can enable human progress. One example of such products is the Mobil DTE 10 Excel™ Series high-performance anti-wear hydraulic oils, which are designed to reduce power consumption and increase machine output. These oils also help keep modern hydraulic systems cleaner for longer and can boost hydraulic efficiency by up to 6 per cent*. Another product is the Mobilgrease XHP™ 460 Series extended service lithium complex greases, which have been designed to outperform conventional products by applying highperformance proprietary lithium complex manufacturing technology. We also offer synthetic oils that increase machine life and prevent equipment breakdown and labor costs. For instance, Mobil Delvac™ 1 ESP 5W-40 is a cutting-edge synthetic diesel engine oil that uses advanced operating technology to increase engine longevity while enabling long drain times. This premium synthetic oil also stops the formation of deposits, resulting in long engine life for our customers. Finally, Mobil Delvac MX™ ESP 15W-40 is formulated to deliver cutting-edge performance in both new and older engines. We would like to encourage our customers to take advantage of the wide range of offerings that we provide. In addition to the products I have already mentioned, such as our energyefficient hydraulic oils, fully synthetic engine oils that offer fuel economy, and greases that help increase the oil drain interval, we also offer a suite of services. The Mobil ServSM Lubrication Analysis (MSLA) program is spearheading precise and informed oil monitoring and analysis which allows timely monitoring, course correction, and eliminates sample labelling. Similarly, the Mobil ServSM IIoT Insights is also proving to be game-changing in integrating automation with manufacturing efficiency. This platform brings special benefits with AI/ML, automated monitoring and precise analysis that directly benefit machine performance and manufacturing efficiency. We work closely with our customers to extend the oil drain intervals and help them operate sustainably and profitably.
