Gujarat Allocates Rs 51.57 Crore for Road and Bridge Upgrades in Palitana
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved Rs 51.57 crore for the renovation of roads and construction of bridges leading to Palitana, a key city in the state, as part of ongoing infrastructure development efforts. This funding is a part of a Rs 2,269 crore initiative aimed at improving road connectivity across 44 major destinations in Gujarat. Previously, Rs 40.50 crore had been allocated for the development of six roads and bridges in Palitana, spanning 24.90 km. With the latest approval, the total investment in the city's road network has now reached Rs 92.07 crore, covering 25.70 km. According to an official statement, the 800-meter-long road and bridge project will help ease congestion along the Palitana-Talaja road, ensuring smoother access to the city.
Enhancing Connectivity and Economic Growth
The new infrastructure is expected to enhance traffic flow, improve road safety, and support local businesses, making transportation more efficient for residents and traders. By reducing travel time and facilitating uninterrupted movement, the development will contribute to the region’s economic growth and overall urban modernization.
