Attention Delhiites! Longer queues likely at metro security checks ahead of I-Day – Here’s what DMRC said

In preparation for Independence Day, the CISF will increase security checks at metro stations starting Monday (August 5), the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced today. DMRC’s Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal advised commuters to plan their journeys accordingly due to intensified security measures.

“In view of the enhanced security arrangements ahead of Independence Day on August 15, security checks for passengers will be further intensified by the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) across metro stations from Tuesday,” Dayal said.

This heightened scrutiny may lead to longer queues, particularly during peak hours.

The DMRC urged passengers to factor in extra time for their travels and to cooperate with security personnel during the enhanced checks.
