Wavin expands footprint in India with the acquisition of another manufacturing plant
After the recent acquisition of a manufacturing plant in Hyderabad, Telangana, Wavin, an innovative pipes and fittings solution provider for the building and infrastructure industry, has announced the acquisition of a new facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan, from Dura-Line. It’s the second acquisition by the company in 2021 in India to meet the emerging demand for advanced water & gas pipes and fittings for below-ground use and CPVC, uPVC, & SWR pipes for above-ground applications.
The second plant acquisition is a part of Wavin's ongoing expansion into the Indian and APAC markets. The company reinforces its commitment to the Indian government's ‘Make in India’ initiative and finds the investment critical to provide sustainable solutions to secure drinking water supply to a growing urban population, particularly in North India.
The Neemrana plant, with best industry practices will continue producing advanced water and gas products for below-ground use and invest in other extrusion lines to produce CPVC, uPVC, & SWR pipes for above-ground applications.
Commenting on the plant acquisition, Maarten Roef, President Wavin, said, “Wavin is now well positioned to serve the growing market of India and greatly contribute to building healthy, sustainable environments. The geographical coverage, which the Neemrana and Hyderabad facilities offer, is quite extensive. Wavinwill produce a wide range of PVC/ CPVC/ SWR pipes and fittings locally.
