Yogi Adityanath conducted a detailed inspection of the upcoming Noida International Airport to assess preparedness ahead of its proposed inauguration by Narendra Modi on March 28, 2026.
During his visit to Gautam Buddh Nagar, the Chief Minister reviewed on-ground infrastructure, operational readiness, and administrative arrangements, ensuring that all systems are aligned for the launch of one of India’s most ambitious aviation projects. He also chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials and stakeholders to evaluate progress and address any last-mile challenges.
The inspection focused on ensuring seamless coordination between multiple agencies, including security, transport, and airport operations, so that the inauguration event and subsequent operations can proceed without disruptions. Authorities have been directed to maintain strict timelines and quality standards in the final phase of execution.
The Noida International Airport at Jewar, being developed as a greenfield mega aviation hub, is set to become one of the largest airports in India and a key gateway for the National Capital Region and western Uttar Pradesh. Once operational, it is expected to ease congestion at Delhi’s existing airport, while significantly enhancing regional connectivity for both passengers and cargo.
The project is also seen as a major driver of economic growth, investment, and employment generation, with strong potential to transform the surrounding region into a logistics and infrastructure hub.
With the inauguration date approaching, the state government is intensifying efforts to ensure that the airport is fully prepared for launch, positioning it as a landmark development in India’s expanding aviation ecosystem.
