JK Cement has expanded the cement grinding capacity at its Muddapur plant to 4.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), reinforcing its production capabilities in southern India.
The expansion is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its footprint and meet rising demand driven by infrastructure and construction activities across key markets. The Muddapur unit, an important facility in JK Cement’s portfolio, has seen progressive capacity enhancements over the years, reflecting sustained investment in operational scale-up.
With this upgrade, JK Cement aims to improve supply efficiency, reduce logistics constraints, and enhance market responsiveness in the region. The increased capacity is expected to support both urban infrastructure projects and rural housing demand, which continue to drive cement consumption in India.
The move aligns with the company’s ongoing expansion roadmap, under which it has been consistently adding grinding and clinker capacity across multiple locations to strengthen its position among India’s leading cement producers.
This development further underscores JK Cement’s focus on capacity augmentation, regional balance, and long-term growth, as it continues to scale operations in line with the country’s infrastructure momentum.
