Adani Embraer aircraft manufacturing partnership
Adani Group and Embraer have partnered to establish a regional aircraft manufacturing facility in India.

The Adani Group has joined hands with Brazilian aerospace company Embraer to establish a regional aircraft manufacturing facility in India, marking a strategic step in building the country’s aviation production ecosystem.

Under the agreement, Adani Defence & Aerospace and Embraer will collaborate to create a final assembly line for Embraer’s regional jets — aircraft typically designed to carry passengers on short to medium-range routes. The facility is aimed at supporting domestic production, enhancing technology transfer, and strengthening supply chains within India’s aerospace sector.

The partnership also focuses on developing skilled local talent and building capabilities that align with national priorities such as “Make in India” and expanding regional air connectivity. Officials said potential locations for the manufacturing facility are being evaluated, with final decisions expected in the coming months.

This collaboration positions India as a growing hub for regional aircraft manufacturing. It also reflects the country’s broader ambition to reduce dependence on imported aircraft while supporting rising demand for air travel across smaller cities and regional markets.
