HMG Stone LLP, widely known as HMG Stones, has marked a significant milestone by securing ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Quality Management System along with the prestigious 5S Gold Grade certification for workplace organisation and operational discipline.
With this achievement, HMG Stones has emerged as the first company in India’s natural stone sector to receive both ISO 9001:2015 and 5S Gold Grade certifications at the same time. The accomplishment highlights the company’s commitment to globally aligned processes, structured operations, and continuous improvement across its value chain.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification, accredited by DAkkS, was granted by TÜV India Private Limited, a subsidiary of TÜV NORD Germany. Meanwhile, the 5S Gold Grade certification at the Basic Level was awarded after a detailed evaluation by Japan-headquartered ABK-AOTS DOSOKAI. These certifications extend across HMG Stones’ key facilities, including its manufacturing units at Attibele and Yadavanahalli (Units I and II), as well as its Wilson Garden flagship showroom (Unit III) and the Sankey Road Experience Centre, reflecting consistency in quality and discipline across production and customer-facing spaces.
Commenting on the achievement, Anand Reddy, Founder and CEO of HMG Stones, stated that the certifications represent a way of working rather than a symbolic recognition. He emphasised that in a demanding manufacturing environment involving heavy machinery, stone processing, dust, and slurry, true discipline is reflected in daily practices such as cleanliness, defect prevention, employee safety, and sustained quality. According to him, the initiative has boosted shop-floor pride while reinforcing customer confidence and trust in every slab produced.
The dual certifications further strengthen HMG Stones’ position as a quality-driven and process-focused leader in India’s natural stone industry.
