Innovation is continuous at Kaushik. Recently, we’ve introduced a new generation of Asphalt Batch Mix Plants equipped with advanced burner control systems, variable frequency drives, and reduced carbon footprint designs that are even capable of handling upto 50% RAP material. Our Concrete and Wet Mix Plants now feature optimized aggregate weighing systems, improving mix accuracy and consistency.
Q. What key milestones have been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and establishing its reputation as a leader in the industry?
Over the last three decades, Kaushik Engineering Works has evolved from a small fabrication setup into one of India’s most trusted names in road construction equipment. Some key milestones include the launch of our first Asphalt Batch Mix Plant in 2012, our technical collaboration with Cesan A.S. (Turkey) in 2013, and the expansion of our product portfolio to cover bitumen
decanters, concrete batching plants, and road sweepers.
Participating in major global exhibitions such as Bauma Germany, Excon India, & Big 5 Dubai has also been instrumental in building international credibility. Each milestone reflects our commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction — the three pillars that continue to define our growth.
Q. How does the company’s long-term vision guide its current strategy, and what are the key ways you envision it evolving over the next decade?
Our long-term vision is to become a globally preferred brand for sustainable road construction solutions. This vision drives every strategic decision — from our focus on energy-efficient and low-emission plants to digital integration in manufacturing and service support.
Over the next decade, we envision evolving into a smart equipment manufacturer, offering plants that are digitally connected, modular, and adaptive to varied global standards. We also aim to expand our footprint across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Australia, building local partnerships and after-sales networks to serve each region effectively.
Q. Could you highlight any recent innovations or improvements in your construction equipment product range, especially in asphalt plants, concrete plants, and batching plants?
Innovation is continuous at Kaushik. Recently, we’ve introduced a new generation of Asphalt Batch Mix Plants equipped with advanced burner control systems, variable frequency drives, and reduced carbon footprint designs that are even capable of handling upto 50% RAP material.
Our Concrete and Wet Mix Plants now feature optimized aggregate weighing systems, improving mix accuracy and consistency. Moreover, we are currently developing a new “ValueMax” series of asphalt and concrete plants that focus on fuel economy, faster mobility, and automated maintenance diagnostics — features that align with the needs of modern contractors
and governments pushing for greener infrastructure.
Q. How is your company planning to incorporate modular and adaptable solutions, including modular equipment designs, into future construction projects as part of this shift?
Modular design is the future of construction equipment. We are actively redesigning our core product line — including asphalt plants, bitumen systems, and tanks — into modular and containerized units.
This approach ensures faster installation, easier transport, and scalability based on project requirements. For instance, our upcoming modular asphalt series allows customers to add or remove functional modules such as RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement) units, fiber feeding systems, or pollution control modules depending on the site and regulation needs. This flexibility helps our customers stay efficient while reducing total lifecycle costs.
Q. What strategies does your company employ to maintain its leadership position and sustain a competitive edge in an increasingly dynamic and fast-paced industry?
We maintain our leadership through a blend of continuous innovation, quality control, and customer-centric service. Every machine is designed and tested in-house, ensuring unmatched reliability.
Our after-sales network spans across India and select international markets, providing rapid on-site support and genuine spare parts.
We also invest heavily in training programs for operators and service engineers, ensuring our customers extract maximum productivity from our machines. Strategically, we stay ahead by anticipating market shifts — such as the move toward decarbonization and digitalization — and aligning our R&D accordingly.
Q. With the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, smart cities, and automation technologies, how do you see your company shaping the future of the construction industry?
Artificial intelligence and automation are redefining the way infrastructure is built. Kaushik aims to be at the forefront of this transformation by developing IoT-enabled and AI-assisted equipment that allows real-time monitoring of plant performance, predictive maintenance, and remote troubleshooting.
As smart cities expand, demand for data driven construction will rise, and our goal is to integrate AI dashboards and analytics
that optimize fuel use, reduce downtime, and improve sustainability metrics. We see this not as a challenge but as an opportunity to elevate construction efficiency and transparency across the value chain.
Q. Looking ahead, what are your key strategic priorities over the next few years, particularly in terms of product innovation, market expansion, and strengthening customer relationships?
Our immediate priorities are threefold:
- Product Innovation: Launching our “ValueMax” series — energy-efficient, modular, and AI-compatible asphalt batchmix plants.
- Market Expansion: Strengthening our presence in Australia, Africa, and Latin America through local partnerships, distributors, and pilot installations.
- Customer Relationships: Enhancing digital service platforms to ensure 24/7 technical support, spare parts visibility, and lifetime performance tracking.
- Ultimately, our aim is not only to sell equipment but to deliver complete lifecycle solutions — from design to commissioning and after-sales — that empower our clients to build better roads, faster and greener.
