Jindal Stainless has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NASSCOM’s FutureSkills Prime to strengthen digital capabilities and enable continuous upskilling across its workforce.
Under the partnership, employees of Jindal Stainless will gain access to structured learning programmes and industry-recognised certification pathways through the FutureSkills Prime platform. The initiative is designed to help employees build skills relevant to the evolving requirements of the digital workplace.
The learning programmes cover emerging technologies and digital domains including Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, Blockchain and Digital Leadership. Employees can choose from self-paced as well as instructor-led learning formats, ranging from foundational digital skills to advanced professional programmes.
FutureSkills Prime is an industry-driven digital skilling initiative led by NASSCOM in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The platform brings together learning partners, technology providers and industry expertise to support continuous learning and workforce development.
Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, said that the pace of technological change is reshaping industries and the skills required for effective workplace functioning. He highlighted the importance of building employee capabilities alongside the adoption of new technologies.
Sushil Baveja, Chief Human Resource Officer, Jindal Stainless, emphasised the role of relevant and flexible learning in employee development. Through the FutureSkills Prime platform, employees will be able to pursue recognised certifications at their own pace and take greater ownership of their professional development.
The partnership will also offer co-branded certifications for eligible programmes, carrying the logos of MeitY, SSC NASSCOM, FutureSkills Prime and Jindal Stainless.
The digital upskilling initiative complements Jindal Stainless’ ongoing Smart Factory 4.0 programme at its Hisar and Jajpur facilities. The company is deploying digital manufacturing platforms and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) solutions as part of its broader digital transformation efforts.
The MoU adds a workforce development component to these technology initiatives, giving employees access to structured digital learning as the company continues to integrate advanced technologies across its operations
