The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the construction of a 74.5-km greenfield expressway at an estimated cost of ₹8,586 crore to provide seamless connectivity between the Noida International Airport at Jewar and the Ganga Expressway. Planned as a six-lane access-controlled corridor, with provision for future expansion to eight lanes, the project is expected to significantly strengthen transport infrastructure across western Uttar Pradesh.

The new expressway will originate near Jewar Airport in Gautam Buddh Nagar district and connect with the Ganga Expressway in Bulandshahr district, creating a direct high-speed corridor between the upcoming international airport and one of the state’s key expressway networks. The project is expected to substantially reduce travel time for passengers and freight while improving access to industrial and logistics hubs along the route.

Designed as a strategic infrastructure project, the corridor is expected to enhance multimodal connectivity by integrating the airport with the Yamuna Expressway, Ganga Expressway and other major transport corridors. Besides facilitating faster movement of goods and people, the expressway is likely to accelerate industrial development, attract fresh investments and support the growth of manufacturing, warehousing and logistics clusters in the region.

The approval forms part of Uttar Pradesh’s broader infrastructure expansion strategy centred on expressway-led economic development. Once completed, the Jewar–Ganga Expressway link is expected to improve regional mobility, strengthen the connectivity of the upcoming international airport and reinforce the state’s position as a major logistics and investment destination.
