SEPC Ltd. has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) for a contract valued at ₹854.57 crore (excluding GST) for civil and structural works at the IISCO Steel Plant in Burnpur, West Bengal. The project forms part of SAIL’s ongoing expansion programme to enhance the steel plant’s production capacity to 4.08 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
The contract covers the Pellet Plant Balance of Plant (BOP) Package-2, involving civil construction and structural works required for the integrated expansion project. SEPC is required to complete the assignment within 32 months, strengthening its order book and providing long-term execution visibility in the industrial EPC segment.
This is the second major contract awarded by SAIL to SEPC within two months. In June 2026, the company had secured a ₹673.32 crore order for Balance of Plant packages related to the Coke Oven and Sinter Plant at the same steel complex. The successive wins reinforce SEPC’s growing presence in large-scale industrial infrastructure projects and deepen its association with one of India’s largest steel producers.
The latest order comes against the backdrop of a strong financial performance by SEPC in FY26, during which the company reported significant growth in both revenue and profitability. The expanding order pipeline is expected to support sustained business growth while reinforcing SEPC’s capabilities in executing complex engineering, procurement and construction projects for the metals and industrial sectors.
