Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has proposed the addition of new stations on the planned Hyderabad–Bengaluru and Hyderabad–Pune/Mumbai high-speed rail corridors to improve connectivity, boost tourism, and support emerging economic hubs across the state.

The Key proposals include:
•A station near Ananthagiri Hills in Vikarabad on the Hyderabad–Pune high-speed rail corridor, with enhanced connectivity to Hyderabad’s IT hub.
•A station at Bharat Future City, the state’s flagship greenfield urban development project, on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru high-speed rail route.
•Additional stations near Mannanur in the Nallamala region and Somasila to promote tourism and regional economic growth.
•Development of the Shamshabad region as a major high-speed rail hub for Telangana.

The proposals were discussed during a review meeting on bullet train corridors and infrastructure projects. The state government believes that high-speed rail should not only reduce travel times but also serve as a catalyst for tourism, investment, and balanced regional development.

The move aligns with Telangana’s broader strategy of positioning Bharat Future City as a major transportation and economic hub, with several proposed high-speed rail corridors linking Hyderabad to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Amaravati.
