Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has announced an allocation of ₹22 crore for road development projects in Kodagu district, aimed at improving connectivity across several key stretches in the region.
The funds have been sanctioned under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) and will be utilised for the improvement and upgrading of roads in different parts of Kodagu. The announcement was made during the MP’s visit to the district, where he reviewed ongoing development initiatives and infrastructure requirements.

According to Yaduveer, the sanctioned amount will support road infrastructure works that have been pending for several years and are considered important for improving connectivity within the district. The projects are expected to benefit local residents as well as the tourism sector, which remains a major contributor to Kodagu’s economy.

Kodagu has witnessed several road and highway infrastructure initiatives in recent years, including the ongoing Mysuru–Kushalnagar highway project, which is expected to significantly improve connectivity between Mysuru and Kodagu.

Yaduveer said efforts are continuing to secure additional infrastructure investments for the district, with a focus on road connectivity, transportation facilities, and other development projects that support economic activity and regional growth.
The ₹22 crore allocation adds to the ongoing infrastructure development initiatives in Kodagu and is expected to support the improvement of road conditions in various parts of the district.
