KNR Constructions highway project in Telangana under NHAI hybrid annuity model for road development
KNR Constructions secures ₹1,734 crore NHAI highway project in Telangana.

KNR Constructions Limited has been awarded a ₹1,734 crore contract by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the development of a national highway project in Telangana.

The project has been allotted under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) and involves the four-laning and upgradation of a highway stretch, along with associated civil and structural works. The mandate covers design, construction, and long-term maintenance of the corridor once it becomes operational.

Under the HAM framework, 40% of the total project cost will be funded by NHAI during the construction period, while the remaining investment will be made by the concessionaire. The private developer recovers its investment through annuity payments over the concession period, linked to performance and maintenance standards.

The project is expected to be executed over a 24-month construction period, followed by a 15-year operations and maintenance phase, during which KNR Constructions will be responsible for maintaining road quality, safety standards, and overall performance.

This project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen highway connectivity in Telangana, supporting faster freight movement, improved regional mobility, and economic development along the corridor. The contract also reinforces KNR Constructions’ presence in the highway sector, where the company has been executing multiple HAM and EPC projects across the country.
